The area was empty. As a general rule of thumb, when traveling through the rift, empty rooms and buildings were generally some of the worst places to find oneself in. It wasn't possible to judge where you may be and what may be waiting for you outside from an empty room. It was a rule of thumb that was the exact opposite of the feelings that the mage held towards empty rooms on her own dimension. She did like quiet places to think.
Ruby rose to her feet. Of course the portal had moved. Dimensional portals always move about. However, according to the Professor's device, it was sill in the building. The girl took a moment to straighten her hoodie out before making her way down the hallway. If there was something to tell her what this place was, at least, that would be a bit of a relief. The wall beside her sported a logo and a word that was printed in large letters. "APERTURE". Well, wasn't that nice? And fairly useless. "Nuts," she grumbled to herself.
